This is an expertly Junmai Ginjo with a 50% milling rate. This elegant sake features a gentle, clean nose and smooth drinkability, with flavours that expands into a soft and subtle richness. It has superb balance of slightly dry and mild acid tastes. At the International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2015 & 2016 this sake won the gold award.

The name Lei comes from the wagtail, which is a sacred creature in Japanese mythology. This sake was composed as a pairing to French cuisine. Because of its rich umami and the fine sweetness it also harmonizes well with raw ham (prosciutto, jamon), cheese and desserts.
